ECOP has recently concluded the executive screening for its very first Business Excellence Awards (BEA). Among the numerous entries received by the secretariat, eight (8) companies passed the documentary assessment and were evaluated by the screening committee.
The Business Excellence Awards was conceived to recognize micro and small enterprises (MSEs) with good business practices. The screening was held last June 7 at the ECOP office. Among the companies screened that day were Aretei Foods Corporation, Danilyn’s Enterprises, Dielle’s Apiary and Meadery, Glorious Industrial and Development Corporation, Greenlight Power, Inc., Nisco Philippines Enterprise, Sunlight Foods Corporation, and Synerquest Management.
Three small companies made it to the final leg of the Business Excellence Awards and was evaluated by a panel of esteemed judges last June 28 2016.
The Business Excellence Awards is an activity of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines designed to recognize micro and small businesses that promote exemplary practices in employment, operations, and industrial relations. After careful evaluation of the executive screening committee, the number was reduced to three companies: Greenlight Power, Inc., Sunlight Foods Corp., and Synerquest Management Consultancy Services.
The Judging of the Business Excellence Awards was led by Dir. Alex Avila of the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC), who represented DOLE Sec. Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz; Dir. Jerry Clavesillas of the Bureau of Small and Medium Enterprise Development of DTI, Engr. Renato Almeda of Yazaki-Torres Manufacturing, Inc.; and Mr. Teodoro Polinga of Puregold Price Club, Inc.
Last July 14, 2016 Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) announced the winner for the very first Business Excellence Award. And we’re very proud that GREENLIGHT POWER, INC. got the second place which lead us to strive more and inspires us to give our best in producing high quality products and services.
